Together, neurosurgeons and neurologists from across the country will connect to talk about challenges and opportunities in patient management. This one day forum will focus specifically on conversations around Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus (NPH) from diagnosis to treatment to ongoing follow up support and transitional care. The ultimate goal is to discuss new and innovative approaches to patient care and harmonizing services throughout Canada to ensure that patients receive optimal care, regardless of where they live.
Claudio Cinapri, Hydrocephalus Canada Board Chair says that, “Hydrocephalus is a neurological condition that impacts over 120,000 Canadians each year. I am pleased that our organization is participating in this collaborative forum to identify opportunities to improve care for patients living with this diagnosis. I am confident that by the end of this group meeting, we will walk away with actionable outcomes that will ultimately create a positive impact for Canadians across the country. I would also like to extend our thanks to Integra LifeSciences for their leadership on this important work.”
Codman Specialty Surgical a Division of Integra LifeSciences is a leading global medical technology company dedicated to limiting uncertainty for clinicians, so they can concentrate on providing the best patient care. They have been instrumental in taking the lead on this event.
Integra spokesperson Leslie Parkes adds, “As part of our commitment to improving people’s lives through research and education, we are honoured to partner with Hydrocephalus Canada and leading Canadian neurosurgeons and neurologists to support this important initiative, the Canadian Working Group for Adult and Transitional Hydrocephalus. This Working Group is a great opportunity for Canadian thought leaders to unite and focus on standardizing best practices for patients with adult acquired and transitional hydrocephalus across our country.”
